JOB ROLE Quality Head Location CHENNAI and GUMUDIPOONDI Department Quality Assurance Quality Control Reports To Plant Head Director of Operations Managing Director Industry Aluminium-based Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Quality to lead and manage the Quality function in our aluminium-based manufacturing operations The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production process A deep understanding of quality systems aluminium production processes and all types of quality auditing standards internal external ISO customer audits etc is essential Key Responsibilities Lead the Quality Assurance QA and Quality Control QC functions across all manufacturing units Develop implement and monitor quality control systems and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 IATF 16949 OHSAS 18001 and other applicable standards Oversee all internal and external quality audits including ISO and other third-party certification audits Customer audits domestic international Supplier quality audits Internal process and system audits Product audits and final inspection Ensure timely closure of non-conformities NCs raised during audits and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions CAPA Lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement projects using tools such as 5 Why Fishbone FMEA SPC Six Sigma 8D etc Collaborate with Production Maintenance Design Procurement and R D teams to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing Define and monitor KPIs for quality performance and report on quality metrics to senior leadership Handle customer complaints implement robust resolution mechanisms and ensure customer satisfaction Guide the team in advanced quality planning including APQP PPAP MSA and Control Plans Train and mentor the quality team building a strong culture of quality throughout the organization Key Requirements Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Mechanical Metallurgy Production Engineering or related field Minimum 10-15 years of experience in quality management specifically in aluminium or metal-based manufacturing industries Strong knowledge of casting extrusion rolling machining or fabrication processes involving aluminium Proven expertise in handling all quality audits both internal and external Hands-on experience with ISO IATF NABL Six Sigma Lean manufacturing principles Excellent analytical problem-solving and team management skills Strong communication and leadership abilities Preferred Qualifications Certified Lead Auditor for ISO standards e g ISO 9001 ISO 14001 IATF 16949 Six Sigma Green Belt Black Belt certification Experience in automotive or aerospace sectors is a plus How to Apply Please send your updated resume and a cover letter to hr tspcindia com with the subject line Application - Head of Quality Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay Up to 80 000 00 per month Perks Cell phone reimbursement Food provided Health insurance Internet reimbursement Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Experience Manufacturing 10 years Required Work Location In person
