Career Area Engineering Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc When you join Caterpillar you re joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do - but also about each other We are the makers problem solvers and future world builders who are creating stronger more sustainable communities We don t just talk about progress and innovation here - we make it happen with our customers where we work and live Together we are building a better world so we can all enjoy living in it JOB PURPOSE To assist the global engineering team in the design and development of complex major engineering product or process projects in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance durability quality and serviceability JOB DUTIES The Senior Associate Engineer role is responsible for working closely with Senior engineers in delivering technical aspects to meet the division s product line s requirements Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all of the following Develops the complete electrical design of Diesel and Gas gensets in collaboration with senior engineers Takes responsibility of technical deliverables and have technical reviews to ensure high quality deliverables Develop concepts and modelling of electrical subsystems if Gensets Works closely with internal teams to ensure the detailing releases and other development aspects are taken care Works closely with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers during the development and testing phase Understand technical requirements and creatively solves engineering problems Incumbent will have opportunities to work closely with cross function team to develop world class engineering solutions for our global products while gaining growth opportunities Required Qualification Provide support in the design and development of electrical systems related to Genset control panel design Component selection and placement Wiring harness Schematics development Hands on experience with various tools and processes like CREO Team centre Drawing release process DFMEA RCA Experience of Diesel Gas genset or similar automobile machine products design development testing and certifications Must have thorough knowledge of the design and working of one or more of the following- AC Generators Alternators Voltage Regulators Genset Controllers Circuit Breakers Digital Analog I O modules and communication protocols CAN ethernet RS232 Understanding of International standards like ISO8528 UL2200 UL489 Must be a team player with positive communication and interpersonal skills Desired Qualifications B E with 4-6years of relevant experience or M Tech with 2-4 yrs of relevant experience Additional information This job required 5days working at office Posting Dates December 1 2025 - December 16 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer Qualified applicants of any age are encouraged to apply Not ready to apply Join our Talent Community
