consultancy across all stages of our client s lifecycle Position We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to primarily focus on manual testing while building foundational experience in test automation You will be embedded within an QA Engineering team working as-a-service for Product and Delivery teams playing a critical role in certifying the quality of our fan-facing products from streaming platforms and mobile applications to real-time data visualization tools The ideal candidate has a strong passion for finding defects a deep understanding of the user experience and a keen desire to grow their automation skills Key Responsibilities Manual Test Execution Design write and execute detailed comprehensive and well-structured manual test cases and test plans based on product requirements user stories and acceptance criteria Defect Management Identify document and track software defects and inconsistencies using an issue tracking system JIRA experience is preferred including clear steps to reproduce and supporting evidence Comprehensive Testing Perform various types of manual testing including Functional Regression System Ad-Hoc Exploratory Cross-Browser Cross-Platform and User Acceptance Testing UAT Platform Specialization Focus extensively on testing web and native mobile applications iOS Android and OTT streaming experiences on various devices Smart TVs set-top boxes consoles Requirement Analysis Collaborate closely with Product Owners Business Analysts and Developers to fully understand product requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business goals Process Improvement Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices within the team Automation and Technical Contribution Automation Basics Assist in the development maintenance and execution of basic automated test scripts for key functionality or regression suites under the guidance of Senior QA Automation Engineers Scripting Gain hands-on exposure to basic programming scripting concepts e g Java JavaScript or a relevant testing language for developing easy automated checks API Testing Perform manual and with time basic automated testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman to validate data and integration points crucial for Deltatre s data and streaming products Tool Exposure Learn and apply industry-standard automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium Cypress or Appium the latter being highly relevant for mobile OTT testing Requirements Proven Experience Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on manual software testing QA Fundamentals Strong knowledge of QA methodologies tools and processes within an Agile Scrum environment Test Documentation Expertise in creating clear concise and thorough test plans and test cases Defect Tracking Hands-on experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence Cross-Platform Testing Experience in testing applications across different operating systems Web iOS Android and browsers We re looking for someone who is driven to push the
