Admin and working as single point of contacts for all the Azure and on-prem MS-SQL Database and Cloud Admin activities Must have experience in designing and architecture of Public cloud such as Oracle OCI or Azure Hands-on experience with Managing Oracle OCI or Azure VM Network and Security Support the lifecycle management of business critical applications to include installing patches performing upgrades managing releases and administration tasks Support the development and production environments of business critical applications by ensuring application availability responding to application emergencies and supporting deployments Experience with Azure cloud platform services particularly Azure SQL Database Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure Virtual Machines Experience in the design implementation maintenance and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment Ensure the high availability performance and security of data for various applications Provision configure and manage Azure SQL Databases Managed Instances and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines This includes sizing scaling and automation of database resources Experience with SQL server Upgrade and Migration to Azure Experience with large scale complex database architecture with Replications and DR Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL T-SQL Design implement and monitor HA DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups geo-replication and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations validate recovery procedures and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives RPO and Recovery Time Objectives RTO Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor SQL Insights and Query Store Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries indexes and resource allocation Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques Experience with database security
