Job Title Rebar Detailer Revit CADS RC Department Structural Engineering BIM Location Chennai Reports To Senior Structural Engineer BIM Manager Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Reinforcement Detailer proficient in Revit and CADS RC to join our structural engineering team The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed reinforcement drawings and models for concrete structures ensuring all designs are compliant with relevant standards and building codes Key Responsibilities Reinforcement Detailing Prepare detailed reinforcement drawings bar bending schedules and material lists using Revit and CADS RC for a variety of concrete structures including foundations slabs beams columns and walls Modeling Coordination Collaborate with structural engineers to model concrete structures in 3D using Revit and CADS RC ensuring accurate representation of reinforcement details Bar Schedules Generate bar schedules for reinforcement detailing and ensure accuracy in terms of sizes shapes and quantities of steel Quality Assurance Review and ensure all drawings and models meet the required standards building codes and project specifications Client Interaction Work closely with clients contractors and other stakeholders to resolve any issues regarding reinforcement designs or details Updates Revisions Maintain project files ensuring that all updates and revisions are properly documented and communicated to the team Collaboration Coordinate with other design disciplines e g architectural mechanical electrical to ensure integration of reinforcement details into the overall building model Compliance Ensure that all reinforcement detailing adheres to safety standards design codes and relevant regulations Skills Qualifications Education Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or a related field Experience Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in reinforcement detailing and modeling for reinforced concrete structures with specific experience in Revit and CADS RC Software Proficiency Advanced knowledge of Revit and CADS RC for reinforcement detailing and structural modeling Technical Skills Understanding of structural design principles bar bending schedules rebar detailing and construction drawings Attention to Detail High level of accuracy and attention to detail when producing reinforcement drawings and schedules Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills able to work collaboratively with engineers architects and clients Problem-Solving Skills Ability to identify and resolve issues related to reinforcement design and detailing Preferred Qualifications Certifications Certification in CAD BIM software or equivalent Experience in Other Software Knowledge of other structural design software is a plus e g Tekla Structures AutoCAD Project Management Experience working on large-scale construction projects is advantageous Working Conditions Full time position Competitive salary and benefits package Job Type Full-time Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Ability to commute relocate Chennai Tamil Nadu Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Experience Reinforcement Detailing 1 year Required Work Location In person
