Job Summary The Commis Chef - Dim Sum Sushi is responsible for assisting in the preparation cooking and presentation of authentic Dim Sum and Sushi dishes while maintaining the highest levels of food quality hygiene and kitchen safety standards This role requires passion for Asian cuisine attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of dim sum items steamed fried and baked and sushi maki nigiri sashimi and rolls Ensure mise en place is prepared according to recipes and standards Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations Maintain proper portion control plating standards and consistency in taste and presentation Follow all food safety hygiene and sanitation practices as per company and local health regulations Assist in receiving checking and storing kitchen supplies properly Report any kitchen equipment malfunction or maintenance issue Uphold kitchen cleanliness organisation and safety at all times Continuously learn and improve skills in dim sum and sushi techniques Assist with stock rotation to minimise wastage Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours Skills Requirements Basic culinary education or certification preferred Minimum 1-2 years experience in an Asian kitchen specialising in dim sum and or sushi Knowledge of traditional cooking methods and ingredients for dim sum and sushi Knife-handling skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior chefs Good communication skills and time management Flexibility to work in shifts on weekends and on holidays Personal Attributes Passionate about Asian cuisine Creative yet disciplined in execution Robust sense of responsibility and teamwork Ability to thrive under pressure Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 22 000 00 - 26 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Expected Start Date 13 10 2025
