Responsibilities An electrician in a ferro alloys plant is responsible for the electrical maintenance and repair of all equipment including furnaces ancillary units and machinery They also handle routine maintenance current installations and troubleshooting electrical issues ensuring safety compliance This role often involves working with high-voltage and low-voltage systems as well as PLCs SCADAs and control panels Electrical Maintenance Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment including furnaces motors and control systems Troubleshooting and Repair Identify and resolve electrical faults in various equipment including motors switches and control panels New Installations Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment Safety Compliance Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to electrical equipment and processes ensuring a safe working environment Documentation Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules electrical system designs and operational procedures Team Collaboration Work closely with other maintenance staff providing guidance and support to junior electricians Shift Schedules Create and manage shift schedules for maintenance staff ensuring proper manpower deployment Material Procurement Assist with the procurement and storage of maintenance equipment and materials Skills and Qualifications Education ITI NCVT certification in Electrical Trade or equivalent Experience 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance preferably in a ferro alloys plant Knowledge Understanding of PLC SCADA and control panel systems as well as high-voltage and low-voltage motors and MCVs Troubleshooting Strong ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems Safety Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and procedures Teamwork Ability to work effectively with other maintenance staff Documentation Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled or required on electrical equipment as recommended by the manufacturer and on site safety programs Ensures all work meets prescribed standards of quality and ensures compliance with all laws safety procedures policies and codes Inspects electrical systems equipment or components to identify hazards defects or the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 15 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Schedule Rotational shift Education Diploma Preferred Work Location In person
