About McDonalds in India One of the world s largest employers with locations in more than 100 countries McDonald s Corporation has corporate opportunities in Hyderabad Our global offices serve as dynamic innovation and operations hubs designed to expand McDonald s global talent base and in-house expertise Our new office in Hyderabad will bring together knowledge across business technology analytics and AI accelerating our ability to deliver impactful solutions for the business and our customers across the globe Company Description McDonalds is the worlds leading global foodservice retailer serving more than 70 million customers daily across 100 countries As a leader in digital transformation McDonalds is leveraging cloud AI and platform technologies to deliver better faster and more personalized experiences Our Enterprise Data Analytics and AI EDAA organization powers this innovation through scalable platforms like the Integration Platformconnecting services and systems with secure and reliable APIs The Chance As a Manager Platform Engineering based in India you will take ownership of critical components of McDonalds global API infrastructure You will lead efforts to design deploy and govern enterprise APIs that enable business agility developer efficiency and secure data access across the organization This role provides technical and operational leadership for API platform services and requires strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering architecture and governance teams Key Responsibilities Qualifications Manage enterprise API gateway configuration deployment and performance tuning Enforce API standards versioning policies and access controls in collaboration with global InfoSec and platform governance teams Lead automation of onboarding workflows CI CD pipelines and monitoring dashboards Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to service integration traffic bottlenecks and infrastructure scalability Participate in architecture design sessions and platform roadmap planning Mentor junior engineers and contribute to community of practice for API excellence across EDAA Required Bachelor s degree in computer science Engineering or related technical field A total work experience of 7- 12 years 6 years of experience working in platform engineering backend API development or DevOps In-depth knowledge of REST API security and management tools e g Apigee MuleSoft AWS GCP API Gateway Experience with infrastructure-as-code monitoring tools and CI CD practices Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration across engineering security and business teams Preferred McDonalds Values Experience with global-scale API operations and regulatory compliance considerations Familiarity with service mesh hybrid multi-cloud environments and distributed systems Prior leadership in an Agile or DevSecOps setting Our global impact is rooted in shared values These guide our innovation and people-first culture
