Department TGT1 Job posted on Dec 02 2025 Employee Type Permanent Namaste The DAV Group - Chennai functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students The Group today caters to over 40 000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1 200 teachers Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country In addition to K-12 schooling DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts Science at Kelambakkam Chennai In this context we would be interested in recruiting suitable candidates for the position of TGT1 Mathematics teach Mathematics for students of Classes 6 7 and 8 The selected candidate will deliver mathematics lessons in accordance with the school board syllabus help students build solid foundational skills in mathematics concepts problem-solving logical reasoning and support their academic growth and confidence in the subject Educational Qualification 1 Bachelor s degree in Mathematics or a graduation with Mathematics as main major subject from a recognised university 2 Professional teaching qualification B Ed or equivalent or as per school board norms Roles Responsibilities 1 Plan and deliver mathematics lessons arithmetic algebra geometry mensuration data handling etc for Classes 6-8 2 Prepare teaching materials assignments and classwork conduct assessments tests quizzes assignments and evaluate student performance 3 Provide support or remedial help to students who need extra assistance 4 Maintain class records attendance performance progress 5 Create and maintain a supportive disciplined and encouraging classroom environment 6 Collaborate with other staff teachers as needed for overall academic coordination Job type Full time Salary shall commensurate with experience
