Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated IT Security Specialist to protect our systems networks and data from cyber threats The ideal candidate will proactively identify vulnerabilities manage security tools respond to incidents and ensure the organization follows best security practices Key Responsibilities System Data Protection Develop and implement security policies to safeguard the confidentiality integrity and availability of company data and systems Vulnerability Management Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and recommend or implement upgrades Threat Monitoring Incident Response Continuously monitor networks for suspicious activity investigate security incidents and coordinate recovery efforts Security Tool Administration Install configure and manage firewalls IDS IPS antivirus software SIEM systems and other security tools Employee Training Deliver security awareness sessions to help employees recognize and avoid threats such as phishing and social engineering Auditing Reporting Perform regular audits analyze security trends and prepare reports on system status risks and improvements Required Skills Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field Technical Skills Proficiency in security tools such as firewalls IDS IPS and SIEM Strong knowledge of encryption network security and operating systems especially Windows environments Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks e g GDPR HIPAA Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Certifications Preferred CISSP CEH CISM or similar security certifications Desired Qualifications Experience in risk assessment incident response or security operations Familiarity with secure coding practices Understanding of GRC Governance Risk Management Compliance principles Experience with government or industry standards such as STIGs or DoD requirements Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Perks Flexible schedule Work Location In person Expected Start Date 01 12 2025
