SpeechShore Rehabilitation for children and adults is dedicated in making meaningful connections in our lives At Speechshore We believe that communication is the key to success We strive to create a supporting and encouraging environment where individual can feel comfortable and confident in their daily lives Our activities includes evaluation and treatment of adults and children by primarily focusing on developing fine motor skills sensory processing functional abilities cognitive abilities activities of daily living which aids to their overall development and independence Job Summary Staff appointed in SpeechShore LLP is a first-level professional who provides direct patient care to any patients beneficiaries assigned to her him during the duty shift OT helps the clients to develop recover and improve the skills needed for daily life and work Key Responsibilities 1 Assessment and Evaluation - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients physical emotional and developmental conditions - Assess the client s home and work environments to identify potential improvements - Develop individualized plans based on clients needs abilities and goals 2 Treatment Planning - Create customized intervention plans that outline treatment goals and methods - Incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve clients functional performance - Monitor and document clients progress towards goals and modify plans as needed 3 Therapeutic Intervention - Guide patients in performing activities of daily living ADLs and instrumental activities of daily living IADLs - Utilize exercises functional tasks adaptive equipment and other techniques to help clients regain or enhance their independence - Educate patients and their families on strategies to overcome or adapt to their limitations 4 Collaboration - Work alongside other healthcare professionals including psychologist Behavioral therapist speech therapists doctors and social workers to ensure comprehensive care - Communicate effectively with clients families and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress 5 Documentation and Compliance - Maintain accurate and timely records of client evaluations treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries - Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards - Stay current with professional practice and clinical advancements 6 Education and Training - Provide guidance and training to occupational therapy assistants and aides - Participate in community education and outreach activities - Conduct and engage in continuous professional development and education to keep up with best practices and innovations in the field Qualifications - Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution - Licensure Current eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals - Patience compassion and a genuine desire to help others - Knowledge of therapeutic methods and techniques Work Environment - Occupational therapists work in a variety of settings including hospitals clinics schools nursing homes outpatient rehabilitation centers and clients homes - The role may require physical activity and the ability to assist patients with mobility Experience Clinical experience through internships or previous job positions is beneficial Requirements Female staff and male staff with 0 to 1 year experience should have BOT MOT Expected Start Date 01 06 2024 Job Type Full-time Job Type Full time Pay 40 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Work Location In person
