The ICU Medical Officer is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to critically ill patients admitted in the Intensive Care Unit The role involves monitoring patient conditions implementing treatment plans coordinating with consultants and ensuring timely medical interventions Key Responsibilities Provide continuous medical supervision and care to ICU patients Perform initial assessment admission and stabilization of critically ill patients Monitor vital signs manage ventilators infusion pumps and other ICU equipment Implement treatment plans as per consultant s advice and hospital protocols Handle medical emergencies promptly and efficiently Order and interpret diagnostic tests radiology and laboratory reports Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records Ensure infection control practices and ICU protocols are strictly followed Coordinate with nursing staff paramedics and other healthcare professionals for patient care Participate in daily ICU rounds with consultants and update patient progress Counsel patient attendants regarding condition updates under supervision of consultants Assist in resuscitation procedures including CPR intubation and advanced life support Ensure proper handover during shift changes Job Type Full time Work Location In person
