Job Requirements Role Job Title Senior Team Manager - Clearing Operations Function Department Wholesale Banking Operations Job Purpose This role entails responsibility for planning directing and supervising the activities of staff in Clearing Operations ensuring compliance with established procedures and guidelines delivery of quality internal customer service and protection of the Bank from operational risk The role bearer is accountable for Wholesale Banking operational responsibilities such as inward clearing outward clearing and NACH destination processing This role has many internal and external interactions with key stakeholders and is a vital contributor to the organization s overall profitability and health Roles Responsibilities o Excellent Communication Skill is must Ensure the processes and policies are compliant and streamlined within the Regulatory guidelines Oversee quality initiatives across operations team for optimization of processes in order to improve TAT and upgradation of SLAs Employ tools such as automation and digitization to increase process efficiency Spearhead technological and digital upgradation in processes and systems in co-ordination with the technology team Spearhead initiative to reduce operational costs and drive strategies to increase profitability Lead the entire Clearing Operations and ensure they are aligned with Bank s strategic goals and objectives Oversee training escalations risk reviews coaching capacity management time management etc Manage all operational activities such as processing of inward outward clearing CTS cheques reconciliation of clearing accounts Responsible for handling clearing related Vendors including vendor training SLA monitoring Ensure the processes and policies are compliant and streamlined within the Regulatory guidelines Responsible for adherence to defined production quality for all services supported Responsible for day-to-day administrative excellence in ensuring smooth functioning for Clearing Operations units Responsible for monitoring the Customer Complaints and handling overall Escalations Responsible for handling BCP of clearing unit and for the vendors Responsible for review of Standard Operating Procedure s relevant to the unit Ensure no deviation from the agreed process Ensure error free operations Should excel in his area of operations in terms of automation clear process flow etc to ensure error free overall operations Should have basic knowledge on operational risk scenario associated with Clearing role and require investigative skills Good relationship building skills required to maintain effective relationships with Internal and External Stake holders including RBI and NPCI Should be able to manage Internal External Concurrent Regulatory audits Responsible for Staff management through periodic engagements skip levels and providing opportunity for growth Responsible for periodic review of performance and managerial feedbacks for reportee s Responsible for improving productivity for services supported by eliminating automating streamlining non value adding steps in process Responsible for standardization of process across grids Good relationship building skills required to maintain effective relationships with Internal and External Stake holders Responsible for handling clearing related Vendors including vendor training SLA monitoring Ensure accurate and timely MIS and internal reporting Positive relationship building skills required to maintain effective relationships with Internal and External Stake holders including RBI and NPCI Educational Qualification Graduation Bachelor of Commerce B com Bachelor of Science B Sc Bachelor of Arts BA Bachelor of Business Insurance BBI Bachelor of Management Studies BMS Post-Graduation Master of Business Administration MBA Master of Commerce M com Master of Arts MA Experience 18 years of relevant experience
