Job Summary The Mechanical Planning Engineer is responsible for planning scheduling and coordinating mechanical works within a project to ensure timely execution in accordance with project specifications cost and quality standards This role involves close collaboration with project teams contractors and suppliers to monitor and control project timelines Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed mechanical work schedules integrating with overall project timelines Prepare resource plans manpower histograms and equipment allocation charts Review mechanical drawings technical documents and BOQs to plan activities accordingly Coordinate with engineering procurement and fabrication teams to ensure work fronts are available as per schedule Identify critical path activities potential delays and mitigation plans Monitor and update progress against baseline schedules generate look-ahead schedules 1-week 3-week etc Prepare daily weekly and monthly reports on progress productivity and performance KPIs Track project milestones deliverables and key performance indicators Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress and support site engineers with planning-related tasks Analyze variances between planned and actual performance and raise alerts on possible delays Interface with clients consultants and subcontractors for planning and progress matters Assist in preparation of claims extension of time EOT and cost impact analysis Ensure all mechanical planning and scheduling activities comply with safety quality and company standards Requirements Education Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Preferred local candidates only Experience 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical project planning varies by role level Experience in sectors like EPC construction marine oil gas or infrastructure is often preferred Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel Familiarity with project management tools and techniques e g Earned Value Management Well versed with AutoCAD Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings P IDs and construction documents Soft Skills Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and coordination abilities Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure Preferred Certifications Optional PMP Project Management Professional Primavera P6 Certification CMQ OE or similar quality planning-related certifications Job Type Full-time Pay 30 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
