NAbout the Role: The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work that demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography. This candidate will have experience working with numerous design platforms, such as digital and print forms.
NResponsibilities:
NDesign and layout pages for the magazine and digital publications.
NCreate visually compelling infographics, illustrations, and page designs.
NWork closely with editors, photographers and the digital team to produce high-quality editorial content.
NEnsure adherence to Sportstar's design standards, brand identity and production deadlines.
NPrepare print-ready filesand coordinate with production teams when required.
NQualifications:
NMinimum 5 years of experience in newspaper or magazine page design.
NDegree or diploma in Graphic Design,



Visual Communication or a related field.
NPrior experience in editorial design and publication production is mandatory.
NExperience with sports publications will be an added advantage.
NRequired Skills:
NExpert knowledge of AdobeInDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
NWorking knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is essential.
NFamiliarity with Adobe Acrobat, colour management, typography, Image resolution, infographic skills and print production workflows.
NBasic understanding of digital design, social media creatives and motion graphics (Adobe After Effects/Premiere Pro) will be an added advantage.
NStrong sense of typography, composition, colour and visual storytelling.
NAbility to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom setting.
NExperience with sports publications will be an added advantage.
