As part of Cisco’s Hardware Engineering group, we are at the forefront of developing next-generation technology. Our team manages the end-to-end lifecycle of high-complexity Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), ensuring strict adherence to IEEE standards and industry best practices. We are committed to technical excellence and user-centric design, delivering hardware that is robust, scalable, and manufacturing-ready. In this high-impact role, you will drive innovation in PCB design and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge products from initial concept to final fabrication.
Your Impact:
- Advanced PCB Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design of high-complexity PCBs (30+ layers), utilizing advanced technologies like HDI, Fine Pitch Pin Fields, and high-density I/O configurations.
- Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Act as the technical lead in resolving complex design challenges by orchestrating collaboration between Signal Integrity (SI), Mechanical (MCAD), and Manufacturing teams.
- Process Innovation:
Spearhead the adoption of new ECAD methodologies and automation tools (e.g., csh, Allegro scripts) to drive productivity and optimize tool performance across the department.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring junior engineers and conducting training sessions on industry-standard ECAD processes and best practices.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure first-pass success by rigorously applying SI, EMC, Safety, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) standards throughout the design lifecycle.
- Strategic Vendor Collaboration: Partner with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and fabrication vendors to integrate real-world feedback into the design process, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with 5+ years of skilled experience in advanced PCB design.
- Or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engine
