Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Supplier Development-
- Research and identify potential suppliers in terms of cost , quality, delivery. Get involved in proper negotiation related to terms, price , contracts . Work with direct suppliers ( yards) across the world including visits to them as and when required.

Team Collaboration and Leadership skills-
- Collaborate within internal stakeholders . ( Example: Sales team to optimize supply chain operations and ensure the right amount of ferrous scraps are imported to meet customer demand without overstocking or understocking).
- Ready to start off as an individual contributor and build his own team from scratch .

Import Operations-
- Plan and execute the import of metal scrap materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth import processes.
- Monitor and track shipments,



ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

Documentation and Reporting-
- Prepare and maintain accurate import documentation, including customs declarations, and other required paperwork.
- Generate regular reports detailing import volumes, costs, and compliance metrics for management review.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree MUST
- 5+ years of proven experience in metal scrap import operations within the related industry.
- Solid knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with suppliers, government agencies, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using import-related software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
