Role Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our SaaS product development team. What makes this Principal Software Engineer role at CData unique is that it's a true technical leadership position, not a pure architecture or management role. We're looking for someone who wants to remain deeply involved in software development, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is still passionate about writing great code.
As a Principal Engineer, you'll help define technical direction and influence product strategy, but you'll also be hands-on in the development process. We believe the best technical leaders stay close to the code, understand the challenges their teams face, and lead by example.
This role offers significant influence. You'll have the opportunity to shape the product roadmap, drive architectural decisions,



and help build engineering best practices across one of CData's largest engineering organizations outside of our US headquarters. You'll also play an important role in mentoring and coaching junior engineers, helping them grow into robust technical contributors.
