Basic Job Functions:
- Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.
- Perform, as directed, all necessary maintenance and repair of the equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.
- Participate in the training/upskilling of production associates and technicians.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidates must meet ONE of the following criteria to qualify:
- Associate degree in a technical discipline
- Two or more years machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function
- One year First Solar technical experience
- Six months experience as Associate EMT at First Solar and rating of “5” or higher in all relevant EMT proficiency categories.

- Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good written and oral communications skills in English
- Able to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues on the manufacturing line.
- Able to troubleshoot and solve process issues on the manufacturing line.
- Able to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks.
- Working knowledge of common Windows computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to identify recurring issues and develop/communicate improvement recommendations.
