The Head – Plant & Machinery (P&M;) will be responsible for centralized leadership, governance, and operational excellence of all construction plant, equipment, and associated electrical systems across projects.
The role will ensure protected, efficient, and cost-effective utilization of machinery while driving compliance, standardization, and innovation in equipment management practices.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide P&M; strategy aligned with business growth plans
- Establish policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks for plant & equipment lifecycle management
- Drive standardization of machinery specifications across projects
- Oversee procurement, deployment, utilization, and maintenance of construction equipment
- Optimize asset productivity through effective planning and utilization benchmarking
- Monitor equipment health, lifecycle costs, and replacement strategies
- Ensure secure installation, operation, and maintenance of temporary and permanent electrical systems at sites
- Define electrical safety protocols and audit compliance across projects
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS standards and statutory regulations related to P&M;
- Drive safety initiatives, risk assessments, and preventive controls
- Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with safety norms
- Introduce digital tools for equipment tracking, predictive maintenance, and reporting
- Drive automation and modernization of plant operations
- Promote use of sustainable and energy-efficient machinery
- Lead and mentor a centralized P&M; team and site-level engineers
- Build technical capability across projects
- Collaborate with Projects, Procurement, and EHS teams
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- Postgraduate qualification (preferred but not mandatory)
Candidate Profile
- 20+ years of experience in construction/real estate/infrastructure
- Proven leadership experience handling multi-project P&M; operations
