Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a major technology project for a leading Indian bank in Mumbai. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of IT initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with banking regulations. You will also work closely with a team of engineers, product managers & research associates across other projects related to sustainability, ESG, or climate risk—areas of growing importance to the client. This is an in office role that combines technical execution, strong client engagement with expectation management, risk mitigation and team leadership in a dynamic environment in an evolving domain.

Key Responsibilities:

â Project Delivery & Execution

â Oversee end-to-end build & deployment of IT solutions across banking systems such as core banking, loan origination, regulatory reporting, and risk management platforms.

â Build project plans, define milestones, manage budgets, and ensure timely execution.



Skilled with the ability to dynamically modify project plans as per client/team requirements.

â Deliver both traditional and sustainability-focused solutions, such as ESG reporting or climate risk analytics tools.

â Client & Stakeholder Engagement

â Serve as the main liaison with senior stakeholders at the client’s Mumbai office.

â Maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and align outcomes with business goals.
- Strong communication skills with cross functional internal stakeholders from product, technology & subject matter experts

â Compliance & Risk Management

â Ensure full adherence to the bank’s policies and RBI regulations on IT governance, data security, and outsourcing.

â Translate business and compliance requirements into detailed technical implementation roadmaps.
