General Manager (Power Plant) MECHANICAL - BROWN FIELD PROJECT

60 MW POWER PLANT , 250 TON AFBC BOILER

The general manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of a power plant. Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will lead a team of professionals and ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. The role requires solid leadership skills, technical expertise in power plant operations, and a focus on achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Plant Operations Management:
- Direct and oversee all aspects of power plant operations, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Ensure the plant operates efficiently, meeting production targets, and adhering to quality standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plant performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize plant efficiency, reliability, and availability.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:




- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental laws.
- Develop and maintain effective risk management practices to mitigate operational risks.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of professionals across various functions within the power plant.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to ensure high performance.

Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the power plant.
