The Turning Machinist is responsible for operating and setting up CNC and conventional turning machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications. This role involves selecting appropriate tools, setting machining parameters, performing in-process inspections,



and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards. The machinist contributes to efficient production by minimizing downtime, optimizing processes, and maintaining equipment in good working condition.

à Machining Planning:

à Analyses work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters. Interprets Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T;) to ensure precision machining.

à Adhere to machine-level planning by analyzing route cards, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, and drawings. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T;) to define reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters, ensuring precision and accuracy in machining operations.
