Key Responsibilities/Duties
1. Provide emergency veterinary services and ongoing care for companion
animals (including exotics)
2. Diagnose and make therapeutic treatment recommendations on small
companion animals
3. Strict adherence to policies, procedures and protocols
4. Provide support and training to trainees, veterinarians and veterinary
nurses in all aspects of patient care
5. Maintain accurate hospital patient records promptly
6. Ensure accurate and complete estimations and billing of all cases during
shift and adhere to relevant hospital policy
7. Communicate directly with clients to ensure they are fully informed of
prescribed treatments and costs
8. Participate in the shifts as per the ROTA and the service requirements
9.
Manage workflow effectively within the department and ensure all
necessary duties are completed in a timely manner
10. Develop and maintain good working relationships with referring
veterinarians, both within Cessna and outside practices
11. Manage adverse incidents and complaints appropriately, resolve if
possible and bring to the attention of the Veterinary Practice Coordinator or
Hospital Operations Manager
Requirements
Selection Criteria:
Essential
1. BVSc & AH with minimum
four years of clinical experience. Vets with small animal practice experience
will be given more weightage
2. Masters in clinical subject with
minimum three years of experience (Medicine, Surgery, Reproduction)
3. Ability to work rotational
shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays and be
flexible in work hour patterns.
