Description
We are seeking a Low Voltage Design Engineer to deliver design outputs for railway infrastructure projects in Sweden from the GCC (India).
The role focuses on production, coordination, and quality delivery of low-voltage design packages, ensuring compliance with Swedish standards and alignment with project teams in Sweden.
Responsibilities
Low Voltage Systems Design
- Deliver LV design packages for:
- Concept, Detailed, and IFC stages
- Prepare:
- Schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts
- Cable routing plans and schedules
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery as per project timelines
- Power supply distribution and arrangements for
- Lighting & emergency lighting
- LV distribution, UPS
- CCTV, PA/PIDS, access control, fire alarm, location box lighting, point machine heating arrangements.
- Perform:
- Load calculations and circuit design
- Cable sizing and equipment selection
Sweden Compliance & Standards
- Follow:
- Trafikverket standards
- EN / IEC requirements
- Use Sweden-specific:
- Naming conventions
- Templates and delivery processes
Coordination (GCC–Sweden Model)
- Work closely with Sweden-based teams
- Address:
- Design comments and mark-ups
- Technical clarifications
- Participate in:
- Design coordination and review meetings
Multi-Discipline Integration
- Coordinate with:
- Signalling, Telecom, OLE, Civil teams
- Ensure
- interface alignment and clash-free design
Quality & Productivity (Key GCC Focus)
- Deliver:
- First-time-right outputs
- Self-checked and compliant designs
- Follow:
- Project delivery processes, QA/QC processes and document control
- Support:
- Standardization and efficiency improvements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Electrical design for rail or transportation projects.
- Familiarity with Swedish and European rail telecom standards.
