Job Description: Project Head – Transmission Project

Role Purpose

The
Project Head shall be overall accountable for the end-to-end execution of the Transmission Project, ensuring successful delivery in line with
contractual, technical, statutory, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership
and overall direction for planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of
the transmission project.
- Ensure adherence to approved
project timelines, budgets, quality standards, safety norms, and
statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary interface
with clients, utilities, regulatory authorities, consultants, and senior
stakeholders.
- Oversee engineering,
procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities for
transmission lines and/or substations.
- Ensure effective
coordination among internal teams, contractors, and vendors to achieve
project milestones.
- Identify, assess, and
mitigate project risks; ensure timely resolution of technical, commercial,
and contractual issues.




- Ensure compliance with
applicable codes, standards, and statutory approvals.
- Drive performance
management, reporting, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Designation Level: GM / Sr. GM / AVP
- Education: BE / ME
- Stream: Civil / Electrical /
Mechanical Engineering
- Total Experience: Minimum 20 years
- Specialization: Transmission &
Distribution (T&D;) / Substations
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 15 years in
execution of transmission and/or substation projects, preferably in EPC
environments

Competencies
- Proven leadership in
large-scale transmission or substation projects
- Solid stakeholder
management and decision-making capability
- Sound knowledge of
statutory, regulatory, and utility requirements
- Excellent coordination, risk
management, and execution skills
