We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Engineer to join American Express Global Business Travel. In this strategic role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Atlassian ecosystem, driving digital transformation and enabling seamless collaboration across the enterprise.

What You'll Do:
- Strategic Planning & Architecture: Design and architect scalable Atlassian solutions aligned with organizational goals and technical roadmap
- System Leadership: Lead the administration, maintenance, and governance of Jira, Confluence, and Trello environments across cloud and on-premise deployments
- Advanced Configuration: Develop complex workflows, automation rules, and custom solutions using Jira Automation, Scripts, and APIs
- Integration Strategy:



Architect and oversee integrations between Atlassian tools and enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor system health, capacity planning, and implement performance enhancements to support organizational growth
- Security & Governance: Establish security protocols, access management frameworks, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
- Innovation & Roadmap: Evaluate new Atlassian features and third-party solutions, recommending enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases in Confluence
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and end-users to understand requirement
