Job Description:

A Mechanical Manager in a DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) plant oversees all mechanical aspects of the plant's operations and maintenance, ensuring the efficient and protected running of the facility. This role involves leading a team of engineers and technicians, managing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage:

Direct a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to improve their skills and efficiency.

Maintenance Management:

Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and schedules for all mechanical equipment to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.

Equipment Reliability:

Ensure the reliability and availability of mechanical systems, including identifying and addressing root causes of failures and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations,



promoting a culture of safety awareness within the team.

Budget Management:

Prepare and manage the departmental budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.

Production Optimization:

Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant production, ensuring mechanical efficiency and minimal energy consumption.

Project Management:

Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and generate reports for performance analysis and improvement initiatives.

Vendor Management:

Liaise with external vendors for procurement of spare parts and services, negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
