SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)
CAD Designer/Technician is a skilled professional who uses specialized software to create precise and detailed digital models & technical drawings for Civil/other range of industries. They play a crucial role in the design process, helping to transform ideas & concepts into feasible and accurate drawings that can be executed in the real world. CAD Designer must prepare a comprehensive set of construction drawings for authority approvals and tender submissions adhering to Civil/Structural standards and best practices.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Drawings
- Prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules, using software such as AutoCAD & Revit based on concepts & specifications.
- Produce current drawings or modify existing drawings, incorporating inputs from clients and other professionals to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to Civil/Structural standards.
- Work with 3D modelling & simulation tools to create more realistic & accurate representations of design.
- Review all drawings prior to submission to ensure quality control and industry compliance.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Civil/Structural engineers to understand design requirements and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project guidelines, thus minimizing errors.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with other interface engineers such as Architectural, mechanical, electrical etc., for data/information which are required for the preparation of technical drawings.
Documentation
- Maintain and organize project documentation including the appropriate approved drawings with revisions, meeting records and correspondence as per Indian/ISO standards.
- Adhere to company drawing standards and procedures for electronic & hardcopy drawing files.
