Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasound (USG) and sonography examinations across multiple body systems.
- Generate comprehensive, accurate, and timely radiology reports with clinical correlation and recommendations.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to clarify clinical indications and optimize imaging protocols.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality control standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to diagnostic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional protocols, including patient privacy (HIPAA/GDPR) and radiation safety.
- Stay current with advancements in sonography technology, imaging modalities, and clinical guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior radiology staff and trainees in best practices and diagnostic accuracy.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD Radiodiagnosis or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in clinical ultrasound (USG) and sonography.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and musculoskeletal sonography.
- Strong understanding of imaging anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic criteria.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail and time management.
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Valid medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or equivalent authority.
- Willingness to work adaptable shifts, including weekends and on-call duties as required.
