About the Role

Rubiscape’s ambition to move from BI to AI
at enterprise scale demands a new discipline: Spec Engineering. As Spec
Engineering Lead, you will own the methodology and practice of translating
product intent into machine-executable specifications that drive AI-assisted
development across all six Rubiscape studios. You will build and lead a small
team of spec engineers, define the spec grammar and tooling standards used
org-wide, and work directly with product, design, and engineering leads to
ensure every feature shipped at Rubiscape begins with a specification that is
precise, testable, and LLM-ready. This role sits at the intersection of product
thinking, software architecture, and applied AI — and directly determines how
rapid Rubiscape can compound its engineering velocity advantage.

Key Responsibilities

· Define and own Rubiscape’s Spec
Engineering methodology: the grammar, templates, tooling, and review process
that govern how functional specifications are authored and consumed by AI
coding agents.

· Lead a team of 2–4 Spec
Engineers,



setting quality standards, conducting spec reviews, and growing the
team’s capability in structured requirements writing and AI-first development
workflows.

· Partner with Product Management
and UX to conduct structured requirement intake sessions, converting product
briefs and user stories into unambiguous, LLM-executable specs.

· Collaborate with AI Development
Toolchain and Prompt Engineering teams to ensure the spec format is optimally
aligned with the prompt patterns and agent configurations used in the
engineering org.

· Build and maintain a shared
spec library: reusable spec patterns, domain-specific templates, and a
versioned repository of past specs that can train and calibrate future AI
agents.

· Establish measurable spec
quality metrics — spec coverage, ambiguity rate, AI-execution fidelity — and
report progress to engineering leadership.

· Act as a subject-matter expert
on AI-driven developm
