Summary: Having independent responsibility of understanding the product requirements & developing/updating the test protocols & procedures for the recent and / or existing products at Sub system and System level. It includes verification and validation, environmental, performance, reliability and safety/regulatory related tests and executing the same, documenting the reports, Owning Change Controls and updating and executing /Leading Risk mitigation and Documentations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leads the evaluation testing and development of mechanical and Fluid control systems by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Performs standard engineering assignments which are typically a significant portion of a larger project. Select sound techniques to solve design problems and make design recommendation under direction of supervisor.
- Ensures successful integration of mechanical design entities with electrical and consumable components.
Contributes to troubleshooting and problem solving efforts related to mechanical aspects of the design and interfaces with other design constituents.
- Review direct reports quality of work were applicable.
- Utilize engineering tools to solve straightforward problems (example FMEA, finite element analysis, Design of experiments).
- Contributes to development and documentation of respective products addressing regulatory and manufacturing needs.
- Lead project teams and laboratory activities as needed to accomplish project objectives.
- Able to design Plastic components with expertise in manufacturing of plastic components.
- Able to transition products to effectively manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.
- Improves mechanical designs that are optimised for production, reliability, regulatory compliance and cost.
- Performs in-depth mechanical engineering analysis/Reliability testing and calculations.
