Job Description:
- To administer timely task completion, manpower allocation and scheduled running of mechanical, preventive, operational & break down maintenance. To ensure assigned tasks are timely completed and recorded whenever required.
- Responsible for timely fault finding, repair & maintenance of both auxiliary as well as furnace operations in ferro plant.
- Ensure that mechanical costing is maintained on various heads under the department and are within allocated budget. Includes taking pre-approvals on any provisions from management.
- Will look into mechanical aspects (upkeep, maintenance & repair) of all plant machineries at ferro alloy plant.
- Will administer planning, requirement, usage analysis of spares & consumables and their procumbent. Will also ensure optimum level of stock of spares/ consumables and other resources to have uninterrupted production.
- Will ensure 100% running of conveyor belts, RMHS etc., its upkeep, timely repair, inspection and error free operations at the time of production.
- Will ensure coordination with respective production, process,



and electrical departments to understand breakdown issue and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify potential areas of improvement for machine breakdowns and implement the same in the designated production line.
- Ensure cordial, secure, pollution-less working environment and safeguard all assets.
- Responsible for creating short- and long-term strategy for production /power Consumption/energy saving (mechanical) in line with company vision and implementation of the same.
- Responsible for improving profitability by mechanically controlled process improvement, producing value added products/process at economical cost and cost optimization.
- Accountable to identify & implement improvement projects based on internal rate of return.
- Will timely identify root cause for the mechanical problems and losses. Suggest and implement appropriate “Corrective and preventive actions” (CAPA) for the same. Ens
