Responsibilities:
- Perform complex oncologic surgeries including tumor resection, lymph node dissection, and radical resections for GI cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, and soft tissue sarcomas.
- Lead pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative management of oncology patients in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct minimally invasive and open surgical procedures with emphasis on oncologic clearance, functional preservation, and aesthetic outcomes.
- Participate in tumor board meetings to contribute surgical insights and guide treatment strategies for complex cancer cases.
- Maintain accurate surgical documentation,
ensure compliance with clinical protocols, and adhere to patient safety and quality standards.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to audit and outcome tracking for surgical oncology procedures.
- Mentor and supervise junior surgical residents, fellows, and medical staff in oncologic surgical techniques and patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in surgical oncology through research, publications, and participation in national/international conferences.
- Support clinical research and trial participation related to surgical interventions in cancer care.
