We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Java-based insurance product for global clients. This is a techno-functional leadership role requiring robust hands-on development expertise along with project and team management capabilities. The role involves active coding, architecture decision-making, and end-to-end delivery ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and review production-grade Java/J2EE applications
- Lead architecture decisions including microservices and modernization initiatives
- Develop and guide implementation of REST APIs, Spring Boot, and microservices-based systems
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to performance and scalability standards
- Mentor development teams and provide technical direction
- Translate insurance domain requirements into technical solutions
Project & Delivery Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, execution, delivery, and support
- Lead cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
- Drive Agile/Scrum practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Track project metrics such as velocity, burndown, and risks
- Collaborate with Business Analysts on requirement analysis and UAT support
- Act as primary client interface and manage stakeholder expectations
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery and quality
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Hands-on coding experience (mandatory)
- Experience with REST API design and development
- Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and modernization
