The Solar Design & Engineering
Specialist is a critical role responsible for both Pre-Sales technical support
and detailed Post-Sales system design and execution. This position requires
solid technical skills in solar PV system design, costing, proposal drafting,
and detailed engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Pre-Sales Design & Costing
Design and Proposal Drafting: Prepare
high-quality SketchUp drawings, conduct PVSYST simulations and generate reports
to optimize system performance and present technical solutions to potential
clients.
Costing and Tendering: Prepare accurate
pre-sales costing sheets and draft technical proposals. Conduct thorough Tender
study and prepare detailed costing sheets to support bid submissions.
Client Management: Check all pre-sales
designs and costs for accuracy. Attend and conduct Meetings with clients to
understand requirements, present technical solutions, and address queries.
- Post-Sales Design & Execution
Site Analysis and Survey: Conduct detailed
Post-sales survey and site analysis to gather necessary data for final system
design, including preparing survey reports.
Detailed Engineering: Develop complete and
precise engineering documentation, including SketchUp design, detailed
drawings, and preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM).
Performance Optimization: Utilize PVSYST
software for final performance modeling and system validation. Prepare
comprehensive Calculation sheets for all system components.
Project Management Support: Prepare Meeting
Minutes (MOM) sheets for internal and external project meetings. Review and
check vendor quotations for technical compliance and cost-effectiveness.
