Who We Are
CivicDataLab (CDL) works at the intersection of data, technology, design, and social science to strengthen access to public information, evidence-based decision-making, and citizen participation in governance. CDL harnesses the potential of open knowledge movements to strengthen the data-for-public-positive ecosystem and enable citizens to engage in matters of public reform. We work closely with governments, non-profits, think tanks, and universities to enhance their data and technology capacity to enable data-driven decision-making at scale.

What Are We Looking For?

We are currently looking for a Communications Fellow to support CivicDataLab’s communications, outreach, and storytelling efforts across projects, programmes, and convening.

This is a full-time,



in-person fellowship role suited for early-career professionals who are interested in public-interest technology, data-for-good, and social impact communications. The fellow will work closely with the Communications & Outreach Manager and programme teams to assist in creating content, managing platforms, supporting events, and strengthening engagement with our community and partners.

We are looking for someone with up to 6 months – 1 year of prior experience (including internships, fellowships, or student-led work) in communications, media, design, journalism, development communications, or related fields.

Note: Candidates currently pursuing their degree are not eligible to apply, as this is a full-time, in-person position.

On completion of the fellowship period, the candidate may be considered for a full-time role based on performance, organisational needs, and mutual interest.
