Role Overview
The candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing reinforcement works and bar bending schedules across project sites. The role involves coordinating with structural drawings, preparing and verifying BBS, monitoring steel consumption, and ensuring timely execution of reinforcement works in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
The candidate will work closely with tower execution teams, planning teams, and formwork teams to ensure productive reinforcement installation and optimal steel utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Reinforcement Planning
- Plan and manage reinforcement activities for high-rise construction projects.
- Review structural drawings and prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for various structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, and foundations.
- Ensure reinforcement planning aligns with construction schedules and formwork cycles.
Execution Management
- Oversee cutting, bending, and placement of reinforcement bars at site.
- Ensure reinforcement works are executed as per structural drawings, BBS, and project specifications.
- Coordinate reinforcement activities with formwork and concreting operations.
Steel Consumption Monitoring
- Monitor steel consumption and wastage levels across project sites.
- Ensure efficient use of reinforcement materials and minimize wastage.
- Maintain records for steel reconciliation and material tracking.
Coordination with Site Teams
- Coordinate with Tower Incharges, Civil Engineers, and Formwork Teams to ensure proper sequencing of reinforcement works.
