Internally, we call this job "sniffing expert". Can you "smell" what we are looking for in a noisy environment? Like a honey bee sniffing out the flowers?
You will write algorithms to convert text to signatures, and/or signatures to vectors, classify these vectors, and match them against existing patterns. You will also be evaluating and improving our existing "sniffing" algorithms. We deal with data that is sequential in nature (think language).
This job is more research than development, and may require a bit longer interview process (apologies).

Expected salary
10 to 18 lacs per annum + generous ESOP for the mountain movers.

Requirements
- Course work in statistics, linear algebra, and basic machine learning is essential.
- Knowledge of DSP is always a plus. Compressed sensing, Self Organizing Maps, Binary Decision Diagrams, anyone?
- Python, C++, or Nim language. Other languages are fine too if you are already an expert. You should be familiar with the scientific-ecosystem of your favorite language.
- Familiarity with Sympy/Maxima maybe useful since some of our existing algorithms prototypes use them.
- Familiarity with Network Programming is a plus, but is not required.
