Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:
- Study and understand SLDs, GIS layout drawings, and detailed assembly drawings.
- Inspect GIS materials as per packing lists and report discrepancies.
- Perform centerline marking and level analysis for circuit breaker and GIS equipment placement.
- Execute GIS compartment erection as per approved drawings and technical guidelines.
- Verify alignment of GIS compartments as per layout requirements.
- Carry out cleaning, inspection, silica gel replacement, and vacuuming of erected gas compartments.
- Install SF₆ Gas Density (GD) monitors and perform gas filling as per Gas System Layout Diagram (GSLD).
- Assist in testing of gas compartments, including CRM, SF₆ gas analysis, leakage testing, GD monitor testing, and high-voltage (HV) testing.
- Conduct system checks prior to HV testing and substation charging.

Requirements

Qualification:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) installation and commissioning




- Additional experience in transformer erection and commissioning will be an added advantage

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

GIS & Electrical Systems:
- Comprehensive knowledge of GIS erection, installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of IS standards applicable to GIS systems.
- Ability to study and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, and detailed assembly drawings.
- Experience in SF₆ gas handling, including gas filling, density monitor installation, leakage testing, and gas analysis.
- Knowledge of CRM testing, HV testing, and pre-charging system checks.

Transformer Knowledge (Preferred):
- Understanding of IEC / IS standards related to transformers.
- Hands-on experience in transformer unloading, erection, oil filtration, drying, and testing activities.
