To lead strategic procurement and cost transformation
initiatives across raw materials, bought-out parts, and packaging, with the
objective of improving margins, strengthening supplier capability, and
ensuring supply continuity for StoveKraft’s cookware and appliance
businesses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement Leadership
- Own
end-to-end procurement strategy for direct materials (metals,
plastics, components, bought-out parts).
- Manage
large spend categories with focus on cost competitiveness and supply
assurance.
- Drive
centralized sourcing governance across plants and categories.
2. Cost Transformation & Margin Improvement
- Lead should-costing, clean-sheet costing, and zero-based costing initiatives.
- Drive
structured cost reduction programs through:
- Value
engineering
- Specification
optimization
- Make
vs buy analysis
- Supplier
productivity improvement
- Deliver year-on-year cost reduction targets without compromising quality or
service.
3. Commodity Strategy & Risk Management
- Develop commodity sourcing strategies for Steel, Aluminium, CI, SS, and
other key inputs.
- Monitor
commodity price trends and implement index-linked pricing /
pass-through models.
- Reduce
exposure to volatility through supplier diversification and long-term
contracts.
4. Supplier Strategy & Development
- Lead supplier rationalization and tier-wise sourcing strategy.
- Develop
strategic suppliers for quality, capacity, and cost.
- Drive supplier scorecards, audits, and performance improvement plans.
- Ensure
supplier readiness for current product launches and scale-up.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work
closely with:
- R&D;
/ Product Design – for cost-effective product design
- Operations
/ Manufacturing – for supply continuity and productivity
- Quality – to ensure zero-defect sourcing
- Finance – for savings validation and margin
