The CPS Lab In-charge will oversee the operations, technical management, and academic support of the newly established Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Laboratory, developed in collaboration with i-AWaDH, IIT Ropar. The role requires ensuring smooth functioning of all equipment, facilitating research and innovation, and providing technical guidance to faculty, students, and research teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Operations & Management
- Plan and supervise day-to-day operations of the CPS Lab.
- Maintain an updated inventory of all equipment, components, and software tools received through the i-AWaDH collaboration.
- Schedule and coordinate lab sessions for courses, workshops, and research projects.
- Ensure smooth execution of joint activities and projects with i-AWaDH, IIT Ropar.
2. Technical Support & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of CPS-related hardware (sensors, controllers, IoT devices, robotics kits, etc.) and software platforms.
- Monitor network and system security for connected devices and cloud-based services.
- Coordinate with vendors and i-AWaDH technical teams for repairs, upgrades, or procurement of current equipment.
3. Academic & Research Facilitation
- Assist faculty and research scholars in conducting experiments and prototype development in areas like IoT, robotics, automation, and AI-driven CPS.
- Support student projects, hackathons, and innovation challenges aligned with the i-AWaDH initiatives.
- Prepare lab manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
4. Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Implement and monitor lab safety protocols for electronics, robotics, and high-voltage equipment.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, i-AWaDH, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, equipment usage, and safety inspections.
5. Collaboration & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the institute and i-AWaDH, IIT Ropa
