Summary:

The Design Lead – S&T; (Signalling
& Telecom) plays a pivotal role in shaping the safety, reliability,
and performance of railway signalling and telecommunications systems
within major rail infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Engineering
Manager, this position is responsible for leading end-to-end design
activities across complex Signalling & Telecom (S&T;) systems,
ensuring full alignment with national and international standards
including IRS, RDSO, CENELEC, IEC, and project-specific technical
requirements. The Design Lead will oversee the development, review, and
approval of system architecture, technical drawings, calculations, and
specifications, while ensuring robust safety integration and compliance
throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands robust leadership,
technical depth, and cross-functional coordination with clients,
consultants, OEMs, and internal engineering teams. The individual will
drive design excellence by managing risks, leading safety-critical
reviews such as HAZOP and safety audits, and maintaining rigorous design




change control processes. With 14 years of experience in railway/metro
S&T; projects and a minimum of 5 years in a design leadership
capacity, the ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering
mission-critical, future-ready rail systems that meet the highest
standards of operational safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design activities for Signalling & Telecom systems across railway and metro projects.
- Own
and deliver system-level design for Signalling, Telecom, and OCC
(Operations Control Centre) interfaces, ensuring seamless integration
and interoperability.
- Review, validate, and approve system architecture, technical drawings, engineering calculations, and detailed specifications.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable standards including IRS, RDSO, CENELEC, IEC, and project-specific technical requirements.
