Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the complete installation and commissioning process of wind turbines for renewable energy projects. Ensure adherence to technical standards, project timelines, and safety protocols, while coordinating across multiple teams and managing vendor relationships to achieve seamless turbine erection and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Erection Planning
- Oversee the planning and execution of wind turbine erection and commissioning activities, with a specific focus on Envision and Suzlon turbines.
- Prepare detailed execution plans and schedules for turbine installation activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and review micro-schedules, risk assessments,
and safety protocols specific to turbine installation.
- Installation & Commissioning
- Lead the team in handling turbine installation activities, including mechanical assembly, tower erection, nacelle placement, rotor and blade assembly, and commissioning.
- Coordinate and ensure effective assembly, alignment, and quality control during the installation process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve in office issues related to turbine erection and commissioning to minimize downtime.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage vendor relationships, monitor contractor performance, and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct regular meetings with vendors and contractors, monitor performance KPIs, and address site issues as they arise.
- Work closely with the engineering, logistics, and procurement teams to coordinate the timely availability of equipment and materials for site activities.
