Role Summary: The Deputy Manager - Internal Audit plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the organization's operational and financial processes through comprehensive audits and analytical reviews. This role involves collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify risks, verify compliance, and recommend improvements that align with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of business processes and operational frameworks to effectively plan and execute audit engagements.
- Prepare detailed audit checklists and work papers that adhere to established internal audit methodologies and standards.
- Collect, scrutinize, and analyze financial and operational data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Lead and actively participate in audit opening and closing meetings, facilitating open communication with auditees and relevant parties.
- Draft comprehensive audit reports that clearly articulate findings, implications,
and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with auditees to develop and monitor effective action plans ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
- Present audit results and insights to the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) and other senior management, fostering transparency and informed decision-making.
- Maintain meticulous post-audit documentation and records in compliance with company policies and skilled standards.
- Conduct peer reviews to uphold the quality and consistency of audit processes.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives including investigations, strategic meetings, presentations, and budget planning activities to support continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
