- Ensure cost effective and energy efficient production processes for different grade & quality of steel
Duties And Responsibilities :
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in close coordination with PPC, Mills and Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant for preparing monthly operational Plan for SMS
- Ensure Technological Improvement in SMS
- To study the technical feasibility and analyze the production & cost advantages of implementing latest processes, technologies & equipments in Steel Melt Shop
- Interaction with the technology suppliers & vendors engaged in SMS and ensure improvement in productivity of the vendor
- Economic value addition in steel making operation by optimizing charge-mix and alloy addition for required chemistry
- Ensures effective implementation of the Quality Control Plans.
- Technical analysis of the process parameters to enhance the productivity and reduce the cost of production
- Monitoring process failure with Root Cause Analysis and their corrective & preventive measures for quality improvement.
- Integrate operations undertaken in SMS units (EAF, LRF,VDU and Caster and other ancillaries )
- Ensure safe and healthy working condition for employee and contractor
- Provide technical suggestions to Plant Head on improvement opportunities, obtain approval and drive its implementation
