Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with extensive construction equipment experience may also be considered
Experience
- 8 – 12 years of experience in Plant & Machinery management in construction projects, preferably high-rise residential or commercial building projects

Role Overview
The Manager – Plant & Machinery (P&M;) will be responsible for managing all plant and machinery operations at the construction site, ensuring availability, proper utilization, maintenance, and safety of equipment required for construction activities.
The role involves overseeing equipment planning, machinery deployment, maintenance schedules, and coordination with project teams to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plant & Machinery Planning
- Plan and manage plant and machinery requirements for the entire project site.
- Ensure timely mobilization and deployment of construction equipment as per project schedules.
- Coordinate with project management teams to forecast machinery requirements for upcoming construction stages.
Machinery Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of construction equipment and machinery including tower cranes, hoists, batching plants, concrete pumps, bar bending machines, bar cutting machines, compressors, and other site equipment.
- Ensure proper utilization and operational efficiency of all machinery deployed at site.
Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all plant and machinery.
- Ensure timely repair and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and address technical issues promptly.
Equipment Safety Compliance
- Ensure all plant and machinery are operated in compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
