Apprentice – Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR)

Business Overview

Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) teams play a critical role in protecting American Express, our customers, and our brand. Our teams leverage data, analytics, technology, and creative risk management practices to identify, monitor, and mitigate credit and fraud risks across the customer lifecycle. We help shape innovative customer experiences and digital products by building intelligent, scalable, and data-driven risk capabilities. Apprentices will gain exposure to how analytics, technology, and product thinking come together to solve business problems and enable growth.

Responsibilities

Product & Business
- Gain exposure to how Credit & Fraud Risk teams support business growth, customer experience, and risk management decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support product enhancements, business initiatives, and innovation opportunities.
- Participate in activities across the product lifecycle, including discovery, testing, implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Learn how data, technology, and business insights come together to solve real-world problems.

Data & Analytics
- Support analytical and reporting activities to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Work with data and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Gain exposure to data governance, data quality, and process improvement practic
