About the Role
We're looking for an experienced IBM watsonx.governance Architect to support a large-scale AI Governance and Responsible AI initiative for a Fortune 500 client.
This is an enterprise architecture-focused role responsible for designing the client's overall watsonx.governance architecture, with a strong focus on IBM OpenPages and its integration within the broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) ecosystem.
You'll work across technology, AI/ML, risk, compliance, security, and business teams to define the current-state and future-state architecture, establish governance patterns, and develop scalable solutions for enterprise AI governance.
The ideal candidate has solid enterprise architecture experience with IBM watsonx.governance and hands-on IBM OpenPages experience in GRC environments.
What You'll Do
Define and architect the enterprise IBM watsonx.governance solution
Design the overall AI governance architecture, frameworks, and governance patterns
Architect and support the integration of IBM OpenPages within the broader AI governance ecosystem




Define current-state and target-state architecture for AI/ML governance
Design governance capabilities covering model inventory, risk, controls, compliance, monitoring, and lifecycle management
Architect integrations between watsonx.governance, OpenPages, MLOps, data, cloud, security, and enterprise platforms
Define APIs, workflows, data flows, and integration patterns
Translate business, regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements into scalable technical architecture
Partner with enterprise architects, data scientists, ML engineers, security teams, risk/compliance teams, and business stakeholders
Provide architectural direction and technical guidance to implementation teams
Develop architecture diagrams, solution designs, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps
Identify opportunities to improve and automate AI governance processes
