Role Description
The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow within the Health Policy team to contribute to the Economics of Health and Social Care Policy Research Unit (ESHCRU) on a full-time contract (part-time applications will also be considered with a minimum of 0.8 FTE). This is a fixed term appointment ending 31 December 2028.
The successful applicant will apply an economic perspective to the quantitative analysis and evaluation of UK health systems and policy. ESHCRU uses microeconomic and microeconometric analysis techniques to answer important policy questions.
Recent examples of ESHCRU research can be found on our website at www.eshcru.ac.uk.
The Research Fellow will be based in the CHE, one of the world’s most prominent academic health economics research centres. For over forty years we have been committed to the development and application of economics to promote health and wellbeing through the effective, efficient, and equitable use of scarce resources. We are a community of over 100 research staff, support staff, and PhD students. We provide a positive, flexible and supportive working environment, with an inclusive and friendly ethos, where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated.

CHE is a vibrant and cooperative research-only department and therefore all staff are encouraged to work on campus at least 50% of their contracted hours, ideally over the core working days of Tuesday - Thursday.
